Meet The Team

Rickey Bass

executive director

Rickey Bass has been at the Chapel since 1990. He is originally from South Boston, Virginia. He attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, North Carolina and received a degree in horology. Rickey was a watchmaker for 13 years for nine stores in Virginia and Tennessee.

Rickey came to the Chapel as a teenager and was saved while here on retreat at 15 years old. He was hired in 1990 to become the first Camp Director. He held that position until January 2023 when he was named the first Executive Director of the Chapel

Rickey is married to Verna Rudisill Bass and they have three children and three grandchildren.

CASEY CLARK

FACILITIES DIRECTOR

Casey Clark came to the Chapel in March 2016. He is originally from Gastonia, NC. He received a youth ministry degree from North Greenville University where he met his wife Mandy. They came to the chapel after serving 11 years in various ministry roles.

Casey fell in love with the Chapel after serving on the summer staff in 2002 and 2003. Casey joined the full-time staff in 2016 and he is responsible for the facilities, grounds and the pool..

Casey's wife Mandy is a school teacher and they have 2 children.


COURTNEY BLEVINS

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Courtney Blevins joined the Chapel staff in March, 2023. She is originally from Goodview, VA. She received an undergraduate degree in worship and music ministry and a masters degree in human services from Liberty University. Courtney worked in Therapeutic Foster Care and Day Treatment for seven years before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

Courtney would often visit the chapel as a camper and then as a chaperone with her church from Virginia. After moving to Murrells Inlet, Courtney saw the job opening and knew she wanted to be part of what God is doing at the Chapel.

Courtney married her husband Alan in 2012 and they have two children
