Garden City Chapel and Retreat Center is located in Garden City Beach, South Carolina, just seven miles south of Myrtle Beach. The Chapel offers the finest Christian retreat on the East Coast with great facilities and an excellent location. The campus is nestled between the powerful Atlantic Ocean and the peaceful Murrells Inlet. Garden City Chapel has become a retreat center to thousands of campers every year from across 22 states.

Reservations & Facilities

We provide great facilities for Christian retreats in a beautiful location next to the Murrells Inlet and one block from the Atlantic Ocean.

Our facilities include 11 dorms, large outdoor pool, the Sea Shack snack bar, the Bagnel Youth Building meeting hall, and the chapel complex that includes a large and two small auditoriums. Outdoor areas are available for football, soccer, frisbee, sand court volleyball, basketball courts, a large field for group games and activities and a fire pit.

We strive to provide a clean, safe, friendly, and useful environment for our guests to have a spiritual retreat.

With Us

Worship service begins at 10:00am

Worship is where it all began back in 1952, as families from many denominations met together at the Chapel. Today it is equally important. The Chapel offers worship on the first Sunday of May through Labor Day for locals, vacationers, and weekend groups here on retreat. The worship service remains simple and traditional with solid Bible teaching and a mixture of hymns and contemporary music.

Garden City Chapel and Retreat is rich in history. Throughout the years, God has continued to bless the ministries that have taken place here. So much of what happens here today is because of the godly legacy left behind by other important individuals who gave their time and resources to the ministry of Garden City Chapel.
